Vendhiaya Kuzhambu (Original)


Ingredients:
To Roast and Grind:

  1. Coriander seeds- 1 Teaspoon
  2. Red Chilies- 6 to 7
  3. Raw Rice- 2 Teaspoon
  4. Garlic- 4 Cloves (optional)
  5. Small Onion- 7 (optional)
  6. Fenugreek- 1 Teaspoon
  7. Cumin Seeds- 1 Teaspoon
  8. Pepper Corns- 1 Teaspoon
  9. Coconut Grated- 1/2 Cup
  10. Bengal Gram- 1 Teaspoon
  11. Toor Dhall- 1 Teaspoon
  12. Black Gram Dhall- 1 Teaspoon
( Roast Each Ingredients with less oil Separately DON'T ADD CURRY LEAVES FOR GRINDING
and grind all together as thick Paste) 

Other Ingredients:
  1. Small Onion- 10 Cloves
  2. Tomato- 1 Big
  3. Turkey Berry (Sundakkai vathal)- 25 Grams
  4. Tamarind Paste- 1 Cup
  5. Jaggery Grated- 50 Grams
  6. Red Chili Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  7. gingelly oil- 1 Tablespoon
  8. Salt- As Per Taste
For Tempering:
  1. Mustard Seeds- 1 Teaspoon
  2. Cumin Seeds- 1 Teaspoon
  3. Bengal Gram- 1 Teaspoon
  4. Black Gram- 1 Teaspoon
  5. Red Chilies- 3
  6. Curry Leaves- 2 Teaspoon Chopped
  7. Asafoetida-2 Teaspoon
  8. Refind Oil- 1 Teaspoon
Recipe:
  1. Add Oil
  2. Add Mustard Seeds
  3. Add Cumin Seeds
  4. Add Bengal Gran
  5. Add Black Gram
  6. Add Curry Leaves
  7. Add Asfoetida
  8. Add Red Chilies
  9. Add Onion
  10. Add Tomatoes
  11. Let that gets Cooked Well
  12. Add Red Chili Powder
  13. Add Grinded Paste
  14. Add Tamarind Paste
  15. Add Water 1 Cup
  16.  Let that Boil well
  17. Add Gingelly Oil
  18. Let all the oil in the Kuzhambu comes out
Serve Hot With Rice!!!!!
